Fells Point was the birthplace of Virginia and Baltimore Clipper, the famed ships from the war of 1812 used to run blockades. This area was also the principle filming place for the TV drama Homicide, Life on the Streets.  During the 1830's Frederick Douglas lived on Thames Street in Fells Point. It was finally incorporated in 1726. In fact, one of the oldest homes is still standing and you will have the chance to view it on the tour.
